TWO INJURED & ONE KILLED AFTER RAP CONCERT

One person was stabbed and another fatally shot after chaos erupted outside a sold-out Jim Jones rap concert.

The violence began after midnight Sunday in Buffalo, NY’s entertainment district after several hundred people were turned away from the Tralf nightclub, where they had lined up for a performance by Jim Jones.

"There were probably about a thousand to 1,500 people waiting to get into the club that couldn't get in," said the nightclub's owner, Rohit Kapoor.

Patrons rushed the doors, which were then locked, Kapoor said, and police were called to break up numerous fistfights.

A police officer trying to break up one fight was struck on the back of the head, leaving her with swelling and a cut that required treatment at a
Buffalo hospital.

The officer's alleged attacker, David Jones, 36, was arrested and soon began complaining of a pain in his side. Officers discovered he had been stabbed. He, too, was taken to a hospital with the non-life-threatening wound.

Jones was charged with second-degree assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental administration.

About an hour later, Lamar Williams, 21, of
Buffalo was shot in the face as he was stopped in traffic in his minivan. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe the shooting was unrelated to the earlier fight.

"His passenger said they were just out cruising the streets and they were not at the Tralf or any other venues that night," Homicide Detective Sgt. Daniel Rinaldo said. "Williams recognized someone on the street, made reference of that person to his passenger and then that person on the street walked up to the minivan and shoots the driver."
