RAPPER/ ACTOR ICE-T TO PEN BOOK

 

1.6.11 ---  Rapper/ actor Ice-T will release a memoir set this April titled Ice: A Memoir of Gangster Life and Redemption-from South Central to Hollywood.

 

The book will recount his orphan upbringing in South Central Los Angeles, to his rise in Hollywood.

 

The 288-page hardcover book will explain Ice's time on the streets of South Central, his four-year stint in the U.S. Army's "Tropic Lighting" unit and his career as a hustler and thief.

 

Ice-T, who wrote the book with Douglas Century, reveals stories surrounding his controversial song "Cop Killer" and his legendary battle with censors in the late 1990's. The rapper, who stars in the TV drama Law & Order: SUV, will also share his thoughts on monogamy, marriage and his journey to assist former gang members stay off the streets.

 

He’ll also recount never-before-told stories about Tupac, Chris Rock, Flavor Flav, d**k Wolf and others.
