MISS TINA

10.17.10 ----  Tina Knowles wants to dress all of us, regardless of size.

The House of Deréon and Deréon designer, and mother of superstar Beyoncé, has launched her newest fashion line - Miss Tina by Tina Knowles exclusively at Walmart.

The 30-piece collection -- which includes everything from dresses to track suits, most items under $20 -- is available in sizes 2 to 20.

"My frustration in shopping was always trying to find sizes," Knowles said in as statement.

"Most stores only carry up to a size 12 or a 14 and they go so quickly. If a woman can't find something, she gets frustrated."

Knowles adds, "We can use different-sized fit models and create things that fit a range of sizes. Whether you're a size 2 or a 22, you deserve good fashion."

And Knowles and her team have paid attention to details when sizing up or down.

For example, a dress in one of the smallest sizes hits the model at mid-thigh. In the middle size, it's just above her knee. And in the largest sizes, it's at the model's knee.

"We adjust the fit to hit at the most attractive area of the body," Knowles explains. "I like to accentuate the positive and figure out how to show people looking their best."

"These clothes are all made with the thought process to make you look slimmer and taller," she says. "Every dress has some draping and ruching, everything has stretch, even the leather jackets. Sand-blasting on jeans? That's not great for most figures and you won't find it here."

To support her launch, Knowles is visiting seven Walmart stores across the country, starting last week in her hometown of Houston.

"Almost 750 women showed up and we sold about 90 percent of the stock," Knowles shares. "It was fun – we dressed a woman from the audience who was a size 20 and she was beautiful."
