CHUCK D LAUNCHES ART COLLECTION

2.13.11 ---  Public Enemy's frontman Chuck D. will protest the United States' immigration law with the of launch a new art collection inspired by PE's classic song "By The Time I Get to Arizona."

Chuck D. has collaborated with Ravi Dosaj to create a conceptual work described as "a future
Arizona border created in a sophisticated collage utilizing a cache of recognizable figures (created over the last 100 years) to show how our 'nation of immigrants' has been lost to legislation."

The collaboration piece with Chuck D., titled "By The Time I Got To Arizona," is the latest for Ravi Dosage.

Dosage earned critical acclaim last year by teaming with Wu-Tang's RZA to create a similar conceptual art project, which the Village Voice named "The Greatest Painting of 2010."

In Chuck D's protest piece, over 30 figures, lyrics and messages are hidden for fans to find.

Each piece comes with an authenticity placard, is numbered and signed by Chuck D., and features his handprint on the canvas in acrylic paint.

Only 500 drafts will be available for purchase when "By The Time I Got To Arizona" is unveiled on March 4th.
